Four functions on every interaction
Enterprises now run AI everywhere. Employees chat with assistants, copilots draft documents and code, and autonomous agents take actions at machine speed. Sensitive data flows through all of it, unsanctioned AI tools spread faster than security teams can approve them, and AI spend grows without visibility or budget controls. The tools those teams rely on were built for files, email, and networks: they cannot read an AI prompt, judge the intent behind an interaction, or act before data reaches a model. The result is a gap at the center of the enterprise: security leaders are accountable for AI activity they cannot fully see, control, or explain.
The launch promise is the one printed across the company's homepage: secure every AI interaction. The scope is deliberate. On the governed path, the same four functions apply to prompts, responses, and agent actions.
AI Security Runtime closes the gap with those four functions, running on every AI interaction. It observes activity across applications, gateways, APIs, agents, and tools. It detects sensitive data, threats, and policy violations in real time. It enforces decisions inline, allowing, redacting, holding, or blocking before data reaches a model. And it traces every decision as sealed, metadata-only evidence, ready for SIEM pipelines and compliance reporting against frameworks such as NIST, GDPR, and the EU AI Act.

The whole path
Much of the market's early response to AI risk centers on a single control point, most often a gateway or firewall inspecting traffic. First Recon considers them critical components, but not the whole answer: AI Security Runtime includes an AI firewall and an AI gateway, and joins them with semantic data security, agent and AI security, and cost and budget controls, all under one policy surface. A single control point watches traffic; the runtime governs the whole path.
Judged by meaning and intent
At the core of the runtime is the Semantic Security Engine, which reads the meaning, intent, and context of each interaction rather than relying on pattern matching alone. The engine draws on the Security Context Graph, which connects context across interactions, identities, and data sources, so detection grows sharper the more your organization uses AI. First Recon logs decisions, not content: raw prompts and data are not retained as evidence. An interaction held for review stays visible to designated reviewers until they decide; the trail then keeps the decision, not the content.
“Enterprises are not short on AI ambition; they are short on control they can prove.”
A governed place to work
The Secure Enterprise AI Workspace brings chat, agents, and company knowledge into the browser, with AI Security Runtime built in. Teams can work across OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, and more, or connect their organization’s Microsoft 365 Copilot account. The workspace gives employees a governed alternative to disconnected AI tools.
